Also, keep in mind that certain websites can also make use of MSN Messenger. I know of certain forum software that does for the functions of their MSN Messenger

buttons. BigBlueBall does not do this unless you click the icon, by the way.
As for the freezing of MSN Messenger, try installing all the latest updates available for your operating system from the
Windows Update website. You should also try removing MSN Messenger completely and then re-downloading and re-installing it.
