Did you really have to post this same thing three times?!?

Unless you don't want to spend any money or really have to use your video camera as a webcam, I suggest taking the easy way and getting a real webcam and using that. If you get a well-known brand webcam (such as Logitech) and a recent model webcam, you can be almost sure you won't run into any problems.
