Actually, I tried the 'Add or Remove Programs' feature to remove IE but IE was not shown as one of the listed programs I could remove. I even checked under the 'Add/Remove Windows Components' and it was not listed either. I am running Windows XP Home Edition so I don't know if that makes a difference...
