MSN Messenger 6.2 EXPECTED Thursday 22th of April 2004.
- Expected Features:
Animated display pictures, officially called Deluxe Display Pictures. The new help files clearly tell us the following: Impress your friends with a custom, animated avatar. So this makes animated avatars 100% official. We can even tell you how to select a animated avatar in MSN Messenger 6.2:
1. In the main MSN Messenger window, click the Tools menu, and then click Change Display Picture.
The My Display Picture window opens.
2. Scroll to the Deluxe Pictures list.
3. Select a picture from the list, and then click OK.
UPDATE: The so-called deluxe display pictures aka animated avatars are most probably going to be an integrated version of the Korean MSN PowerPlus instead of 100% customizable avatars similar to the display pictures.
Launch Site gets a new, more appropriate name: Fun & Games
Additions to Fun & Games: Music Exchange.
The people who like the game Mozaki Blocks will be disappointed to hear that the game has been removed from MSN 6.2's launch site list (for now). And in the new list Xpress Greetings has been renamed (again) back to quickgreets. And last but not least it seems that MSN Photo Swap has gone back into beta phase. (we think they are using an older version of the launch site at the moment)

The new MSN Messenger homepage adds a lot of orange (now, what other popular site favors orange?)
Also some great news for developers! You can now launch games from-within a internet page with Javascript! We are not sure yet if this also means you can launch custom games without patching your Messenger. Download the script (for testing purposes only)
The new help file of will also list Recent customer questions, but since nothing is listed yet; we don't know where the questions will be gathered.
