Haha, yes, I KNOW this is an "old" thread - but I just spotted it, AND the subject still applies these days!
I find the only solution is to delete the person then re-add them. This seems the only way to get a fresh "please authorise me" to them.
And as usually I "rename" people and often add stuff in Contact Details too, to avoid losing all that I DON'T "Delete from Address Book too?" - so when I re-add then all their previous info snaps back into place just dandy!
