I haven't seen this message personally, and you're wise to be skeptical. I did turn up something about AOL core services in reference to
oscore.dll, but it's not clear that it's related to what you're seeing.
One thing that would be really helpful is if you can grab a screenshot next time.
And for now, I suggest skipping the update until you can confirm that it's legit.
