Yeah, I tried the total uninstall thing. It went away. Hmmmm, and AOL says it's not from them? F**king LIARS!!!! This is the AOL way. A fine example of their ethics. Yes, my girlfriend decided to have me install the AIM again, and indeed it came back. Of course, I decided to finally and once and for all UNINSTALL it. This example of AOL lying really should not surprise anyone. Besides, this is the same company that is about to allow SPAMMERS to access your email account by paying a fee. Here's a clip: "AOL recently announced what amounts to an "email tax." Under this pay-to-send system, large emailers willing to pay an "email tax" can bypass spam filters and get guaranteed access to people's inboxes—with their messages having a preferential high-priority designation.."
Pretty disgusting huh?
I'd like to challenge that AOL rep to answer that one. Really, there would be no point, because an AOL reflects the practice of their employer, which is DISHONESTY and GREED.
