Where are my backgrounds stored?

This is where backgrounds are stored:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data*\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\NumberedFolder\Backgrounds

They are created as .tmp or .dat files and are not viewable unless you rename the extension to .bmp, or you can just righ click on it > Open With > select a program from the list that's used for viewing images such as Paint or Photoshop.

*The 'application data' folder is a hidden folder so you will need to go to my computer, tools, view, folder options then change the Hidden files and folders section to the option "Show hidden files and folders"

**After renaming the .dat or .tmp files, Messenger cannot display them properly. Because of this, you will have to re-add them to your Messenger.
