Detn8r: It'll be a one time charge with all updates being free for the life of the progam (same deal with Y!TunnelPro). It will be pretty similar to it as they both work the same way to do what they do you could say. They use a lot of the same methods and concepts for the flexibility that both of our programs provide.
As far as pricing goes Y!TunnelPro (which offers a very similar featureset give or take some of them) used to sell for $17.00 USD. That price has since went up with 2.5's release to $22.50. The price range for YTK Pro will probably be in the vicinity of $20.00 to $25.00 at a one time charge. I've done some price checking on my own and have seen the author of YahElite asking for donations/contributions of $30.00 for his client. I've seen tools written by Visual Basic programmers that tend to only perform a limited amount of duties going for anywhere from $15.00 to $35.00. While some of them might be worth that to some to others it might not be worth the full $30 or $35 dollars even with updates so a set price can't appeal to everybody, there'll always be people that'll disagree with the figure.
YTK Pro itself, just like Y!TunnelPro, isn't a single ALG (Application Layer Gateway) but in fact a complete "set" of them specifically designed around Yahoo! Messenger's services (voice, pc-2-pc calling, chat, cam etc). Each 'service' requires a knowledge of it's inner-workings (meaning it's protocol and operation) with us being in charge of writing a packet assembler for each, custom parsing routines and developing the systems to make it all work per service. So, getting back to the initial price, it will probably debut in the $20 to $25 range which we think is more than fair for all that it will be able to do as a first beta release to the public.
