Hi. I've been getting spammed recently from IM's from friends of my (newly become) Ex-boyfriend. His friends aren't saying anything threatening, just things out of line and uncalled for. I suspect this may actually be my boyfriend. Is there any way to track who these IMs are from, or where they are coming from? What measures can be taken to determine where these IM's are coming from? I am aware that I can block them, or set my buddy list so that only people on my buddy list can see me, but is there any way to find out who these people are?

Please help-I'm slightly concerned after receiving several different IM's from several different screen names and are unsure of where to go from here.

Lastly, is there any way to protect myself from intrusions from users that I may be IMing so they cannot obtain my own location? It's frightening to think someone may determine my IP address and location from an IM!
