Hi zillah, it could be a server problem. It's usually pointless and futile to uninstall and reinstall; just wait for an hour or two, and try again.
Also try signing in to
Web Messenger and see whether that succeeds.
P/S This problem has also occurred to me in the past. I had to wait till the next day before I was able to sign in.
