Norton 360 is a Symantec product - so it does not suprise me at all that you are still having trouble. As mentioned, Symantec/Norton buries itself throughout your machine and resists being deleted. I suspect a change made by Norton 360 was simply not "undone" by your uninstall. Given that you rolled back to a Symantec product for anti-virus, it's quite happy to allow those undone things to continue.
Norton 360 is an "all-in-one" product - so it was acting as your firewall. When you uninstalled it - what firewall did you go back to using? Anti-virus programs are typically NOT what blocks your access to instant messaging programs - it's the firewall configuration. If Symantec/Norton is still on your machine as your firewall, it's likely you need to reconfigure it to allow access for all the accounts. If you also have Windows Firewall enabled - they are probably fighting over who has control of what. So - again I must ask what firewall are you using?
In the mean time, it wouldn't hurt to check yours and your user accounts to make sure in Yahoo Messenger your preferences for each account is set to "No Proxies" and has the correct connection and county listed.
