I saw this report on CNN this weekend. One of the guy's friends actually sent something like $1400 to the imposter in England. This raises a couple of issues.
First, we all need to take responsibility for protecting our identity and privacy online.
And second, we need to reconsider what we use as a reliable source of information. I would certainly trust a personal email much more than anyone's Facebook status, or even a PM via Facebook. Even better would be a personal phone call. But am I in the minority today?
