I always figure that anything I post online is pretty much out of my control. Even if I put a big fat copyright notice on it, there's nothing to prevent it from being ripped off, used and abused in perpetuity. Yeah, I could hire a team of lawyers to chase down anyone I find copying my stuff (if I even KNOW about it), but it's virtually impossible to track all the possible thieves.
My motto: If you don't want people to see it, use it (and potentially misuse it), don't post it online. Period.
