Yes, there's a way to reactivate a deactivated ID. The issue is, you have to send the information as fast as possible from the point of the ID deactivation - and even then it doesn't always work. You'd need to type up really elaborate explanations of what happened, and include information like secret question/answer, DOB, etc.

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time with it. 1) I don't use IDs I wanna keep in chat rooms, 2) I keep buddy lists to a minimum, 3) I don't use Yahoo! Mail associated with any ID(s) that could be "lost".
