The only way you'd be able to track such information is if you are logged in all the time, using a program such as Trillian Astra which does track user logins/logouts etc., and the contact is not invisible or does not have you blocked. From what you have detailed, I suspect it will be of little use to you.

Beyond that, it is every person's right to appear invisible or to block whomever they want to. It is a privacy issue and I for one am not going to assist in any way in violating that.

It's also possible your contact simply hasn't been online. I've had contacts go missing for months and then all of a sudden one day you happen to see them online - it's really not all that uncommon.
