AIMutation Beta Makes Skinning AIM a Reality

545 Studios has released AIMutation 0.2, their add-on that lets you choose your own skin for AOL Instant Messenger. This beta skins the buddy list and your chat windows, and it simplifies installation.

AIMutation 0.2 comes with five different skins to check out. All of them also eliminate the AIM advertisement, so you gain back some space on your buddy list. It’s free to download and use, but if you want technical support, you’ve got to pay for a subscription. An interesting business model, and maybe well worth the nominal cost.
