America Online and FaceTime Announce Certified AIM Partner Agreement

Certification Provides for Expanded Cooperation between America Online and FaceTime, Ensuring More Secure Management of AOL(R) Instant Messenger(TM) Service within Enterprises




DULLES, Va. and FOSTER CITY, Calif., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- America Online, Inc., the world’s leading interactive services company, and FaceTime Communications Inc., a premier provider of solutions that help secure, manage and extend instant messaging (IM) and other forms of real time communications in the enterprise, today announced an agreement establishing FaceTime Communications as an AIM Certified Partner.



Further expanding the four-year relationship between FaceTime Communications and AOL, America Online has certified FaceTime’s IM Director(TM) and IM Auditor(TM) as products that bring management, control and added security to AOL® Instant Messenger(TM) (AIM®) traffic within enterprises under the AIM® Certified Partner Program. Together, FaceTime’s enterprise-class management, compliance and security solutions provide centralized control over all instant messaging traffic from any corporate network.



Through the AIM Certified Partnership Program, America Online is working with leading software companies such as FaceTime to certify applications for the AIM® Network. The AIM Certified Partner Program establishes a business and technology relationship between AOL and its partners to connect their applications to the AIM network. The program helps ensure that companies with AIM presence and integration within their products will be fully supported, and that privacy, network integrity, and network infrastructure will have added protection.
