AOL Lets You Have 500 Buds
According to AIM developer Justin Uberti, AOL has raised the limit on buddy lists once again, this time to 500 buddys. The way they store those buddies in the database means you can't have more than 200 in any one group, but otherwise the max has been bumped way up.
Frankly, if you really have 500 friends on AIM, you might need to get out more often. As I keep telling Dave everytime he challenges me on AIMfight: it's like golf... the low score wins! On a related note, AOL has officially opened their AIM developer message board. If you are interested in developing add-ons, doo-dads or gadgets for AIM, the AIM Developers' Forum could prove invaluable. |
