Well, you can definately control that in the beta, and I think it's true in earlier versions, too. Here's a screen clip from the AIM 5 beta's preferences dialog:quote:
jeff u have have the aol account and download it and when the new instant message is there will u be able to press enter on it or have to keep on clicking send?
If you want the Enter key to send your message, make sure this box is not checked. Maybe someone else can confirm if this setting is in earlier versions?

yes, this feature is in the older versions. It is in the exact same place.

JDabomb
i had a problem with it. when i signed on it said i was on for 3 h rs i even rebooted my computer and everytime iwould sign on it would say i was on for 3 hrs and then go forward so i went back to the old one i liked the old one better.
i agree, i unloaded beta 5.0 til all the flaws are fixed. i just cant get the thing to work properly. i left an away message on it for a few minutes and then signed off of aim, only to resign on and the message was still there. And then i couldnt get it to get off the away message, so ...................
it also tell me ive been on for no less than 5 minutes when i have just opened the program. Go figure....
i have AOL BETA 8.0..no problems....and AIM 5.0 BETA...and no problems been using them for awhile now also! (knock on wood!)
