Connection Problems

As of lately, MSN and AIM have been giving me alot of problems. I can sign on, but every so often, I get signed off again. So its basically a never ending disconnection and reconnection. I am wondering what I should do to stop this madness. I dont believe I did anything to trigger this problem.

If it's any help, I have a Linksys DSL router. I am fairly computer literate, so I dont think I'll have a problem understanding any suggestions. I was wondering if I would need to setup a proxy server in my AIM or MSN preferences. I also use trillian, but the problem still occurs if I use the AIM or MSN program. I am running WinXP Home. My guess is that the problem is coming from my router, and not my AIM or MSN settings. Then again, my internet connection doesnt do this, just my messenger program connections.....
