Can't view buddy on buddy list

For six years my neighbor and I have had each other on our AIM Buddy Lists with no problem. Ever since the ICQ/AIM interoperabilty, his screen name no longer shows on my AIM list as "online" and mine screen name does not show on his AIM list as "online." He is the only person I have this issue with on AIM.

However, if I use ICQ Pro/Lite, I can see his AIM screen name on my ICQ list and he can see my ICQ UIN on his AIM list and we can chat.

We have forwarded port 5190 on our routers and have even changed the port number, but we still cannot see each other using AIM. Un and reinstalling AIM, upgrading to the latest beta, etc. also doesn't work to fix the problem. Of course there is no way to contact someone at AOL for help. Any help is immensely appreciated.

Send a message via ICQ to Sathallrin Send a message via AIM to Sathallrin Send a message via MSN to Sathallrin Send a message via Yahoo to Sathallrin
This probably wont help and you've probably already checked this, but make sure that neither of you has accidently blocked the other one. Also check on the AIM privacy tab to make sure they arnt on the ignore list.

-And that both of you do infact show in the offline users list...

We did check that, but I'll have my neighbor check his AIM again as he tends to overlook things like that the first time around. Mine is all set. Thanks!
