For those of you who have been waiting for a way to change the colors in your buddy list, wait no more. After Googling "buddyui.ocm", I came across this site,
http://hack.modzine.net, browsed through their "AIM Mod" forum, and i came across a thread which talks about the colors for 5.5.3553 Beta. After reading through some of the other forum posts, I learned that these hex offset values are the same in 5.5.3572.
*disclaimer* - I have not tried this modification out for myself yet, as time has not been on my side lately, but I can try it, I will. Perform this modification at the risk of having to reinstall AIM.
What to do:
1) First, obtain a Hex editor. I found this free one called XVI32 at
http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delph...vi32/xvi32.htm
2) Shut down AIM. You will be able to work with the files in the AIM direcrtory if AIM is still using them.
3) BACK UP "AimRes.dll"!!!! This is [u]very[/b] important.... if you mess up, you may render AIM useless and will have to reinstall AIM.
4)Open "AimRes.dll" in your hex editor and navigate to these offset addresses and edit the colors to those of your preference.

If you don't know the Hex values for the colors that you want, go here:

Let me know how this goes for you all, and I will also keep you posted if it works for me.
