Stop upgrade warnings

how do I get the upgrade warnings to stop on regular AIM?
i mean I dont like 5.5, but im still using 5.1
everytime I sign in aim 5.1, it keeps telling me to upgrade to aim 5.5, how do I get it to stop? I keep pushing cancel a lot and still begs me to upgrade

Just a thought, maybe if you opened AIMRes.dll and aim.exe with ResHack and changed the version to 5.5 it'd stop the warnings?

What build do you have? It didn't display that message with 5.1.3036 for me.

it sounds as if you have already accepted to install the upgrade, the upgrade file downloaded and prompted to install but you've been hitting cancel ever since. maybe if you can find where ever it stores the upgrade installation and delete it, the warnings will go away?
