AIM error category 4 code1

When I try to logon to AIM, it gives the message: Unknown error. Try again later. Error category 4. Error code 1. I already uninstalled AIM and installed AIM 5.5.3583. I tried to make a new screenname and the same message appears. Anyone know what's wrong or what I can do? Thx.

No I'm not using AIM plus. I think its an AOL problem cause I tried signing in and it signed in! But I tried again yesturday and the error came up. I don't know what's going on, but I notified AOL and have not yet gotten any replys. Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe try booting your computer in safe mode with networking.

Ok well my AIM finally works again. The problem was my firewall congifurations. I had Fireball and it didn't allow AIM to connect to the internet. My suggestion to those still having the problem is to check your firewall settings and make sure AIM is on the safelist. Also try reinstalling AIM. I no longer have that firewall and have had no more problems with it.
