Incoming AIM sounds first message question
sometime prior to v5.5 (i think) I use be to configure AIM to play sound ONLY for the first incoming IM from a person. now it seems that I can only configure incoming sounds to be either on or off ie- no seperate options for "first incoming IM" and "receiving a message".
am I doing something wrong? thanks! |

in mine (5.5.3595), I have the option to "Play the sounds below" which lets me set sounds for "when first message is received" and "when receiving a message". I like hearing the first message, but not anything else, so I used windows sound recorder to just make an empty sound file - its about .1 seconds of nothingness, and saved that into my sounds directory, then set it as the "receiving a message" sound... that should work for you
As I was going down the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. [ twitter ]He wasn't there again today; I wish I wish he'd go away. |
