Program not found

When I click on a link on AIM, in a profile, a conversation, whatever, it gives me a message that says,

'[webpage URL]; program not found'.

But then the webpage actually does come up.Then another window pops up after I click 'ok' on the previous window and it says,

'Unable to find an application to handle the protocol "http" of the hyperlink you selected.

Please type in the path of the application to handle this URL or click the Browse button.'

What am I supposed to do? It gets really annoying. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I just installed the last version of AIM 5.2 from oldversion.com, and that's when this started happening.

Try using 5.5.3415 and see if the same thing happens.

Try this: Open your Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Reset Web Settings... You might need to make your Internet Explorer as your default browser. Please let us know if this solves your problem.

On the second window, I tried putting in Maxthon as the default for the application that it needed, and it worked. I wonder why though, since when I tried to put in Firefox there, it still wouldn't work.
