Changing Buddly list colors

Alright well I searched on differnet sites and looked for a program that will let me change the colors on my buddy list like when a buddy goes idle the screename goes gray, I'd like to change that to a different color or like when you click on a name it highlights it yellow, that one would also be nice to change. I'm not sure if they even have a program that does it but if you guys know of one it would be really great. Thanks!

To change the idle color you need to get program called 3dcc

as far as the highlight color, just do it yourself get a program called hex editor....and search http://hack.modzine.net under aim section

Does anyone here know how to change the highlight color using hex editor, its quite confusing over where you put the link to. I dont know hex to well so I am lost, thanks!

You can also use Aimutation. I believe they added that feature.

Here are the hex values...IM ON VERSION 5.5.3572

IM Screennames - 12030 - FF000000(default) - icdmui.ocm

BL Screennames - 63f5 - 01010100(default) - buddyui.ocm

Highlight Color - 63f8 - ffff0000(default) - buddyui.ocm

Hover Pop-up Color - 6497 - FFFFD000(default) - buddyui.ocm


Now I will show you how to do the Buddy Highlight color

I'm using a program called hexworkshop for this

First, go into Buddyui.ocm and scroll down to the hex value 63f8, I have it highlighted in red on this image



You want to highlight the FF FF OO. Before changign any of these values please PLEASE BACKUP your BUDDYUI.OCM

The color I pIcked to changed was a bright blue...if you want another color open up a program such as photoshop and make sure the color is in HTML code.

Acctually I have discovered something. How to change the highlight color for "all" versions (from what I have seen).

look at the hex workshop screen You could do a search for FF FF 00 and from the results look at the ASCII and see which set of "FF FF 00" is encased by "h . . . . h". That is the Hex value to be edited.

it seems to be consistant with other versions. I am using 5.9.3690 and it worked.

I tried to do this and went down to 63f8 but my numbers were different. The row of numbers were as follows. 0099 CC68 0068 0099 CC53 8945 B8E8 D2BC 0100 5668 C005 0000 5389 45BC

I dont know which numbers to change to change the color bar, im using 5.5.3572

Any suggestions?
