Can't Stay In AIM Chat Rooms???

I hope someone can figure this one out...

I use AIM chat a lot, and recently I started having problems. If I enter a chat and don't type anything, I stay in and everything is OK. As soon as I start typing and entering text, within a minute or less I get kicked out. Usually, the Online Host will say "Your participation in this chat has been suspended" and then I get a popup error message that says "Cannot join room ___" (whatever the room is). After that, I can't get into another chat room for hours. When I try, I just get the same error popup ("Cannot join room ____").

I've tried everything I can think of. I tried logging on from my laptop, and the same thing happens. I've reset my IP address, and signed on from different screennames. I restarted my computer. I did a virus scan and ran Spy Sweeper (don't know what the point in that was, though). I also upgraded AIM and adjusted my settings to turn off my buddy icon and reject Direct Connect etc.

No matter what I do, it still happens. I don't see other people having this problem, and obviously I can't get any tech support from AOL.

Please help if you have any suggestions. Everything was working fine for a while, and then this started happening suddenly a few days ago.

Please help!

LOL the same thing happens regardless of what screenname I use, what chat room I go into, or what I say.

I've found that the AIM chats are hardly even worth visiting anymore because they've been overrun by pornography and other advertising bots. It's nearly impossible to hold a steady conversation in their chats, and the ratio of bots to humans is staggering and clearly in favor of the bots.

Well, it's still happening. I tried Trillian and basically the same thing happens. I click on a chat room from the aim.com list, and occasionally it works, but usually I get an error message in the status window: "*** General error when attempting service redirection on service 0x0d". Anyone know what this is?
