AIM Profile??

Does anyone know where the heck AIM saves your profile? It appears it saves it to my computer since anytime windows is reinstalled (after the whole hard drive was reformated), I have to make a new profile. I looked in the AIM file directory, didn't see it. I looked in my registry, didn't find it. I dont know where it could be saving it to. It seems like if it were saved on the AIM servers then it wouldn't be lost during windows' reinstall, unless they use some form of annoying cookie or something embedded in AIM and that cookie is lost when reformatting occurs?

I don't know where they could be saving it... I want to know so that I can make a backup of it before I reinstall so I dont have to re-do everything each time cause I'm not that creative every time Windows decides it's about time i need to reinstall it!
I'd save the text, but thats dull, I then lose all the formatting and styles and such... so yes, to find this file(s) would be very "yay!"

aznballa161... what a helpful answer. actually i think its info.htm

jake, depending on your operating system it might be somewhere else, but on XP its in your documents and settings folder. usually here: "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Aim\SCREEN NAME\info.htm" If its not there, you can always do a simple search for "info.htm"

info.htm but the aim only receives the first 1024 characters, hence the reason you can't put 1025 or more characters in your profile.

It's actually quite less when you consider the markup. The profiles are based on HTML, so you will need to use HTML tags to change the font/color--adding to your file size.
