My Buddy list is missing................ :0(

Went on the computer today, noticed the internet connection had been interrupted. BF was working on the server, so who knows.

Don't know if it's related or not, but I restarted AIM, and my buddy list was gone. All my groups are still there, but NO contacts. Nothing, Nada, Nill, Null, Zippo, Zero. All Gone.

I thought maybe it was one of those "Your buddy list is not currently available but it has not been lost" things, but it wasn't. I signed on to 3 different computer at least twice and there's still nothing. My profile was wiped too. (My directory info was still intact tho) My away messages are still intact as well. (I have 20+ of those)

I wonder if the buddy list is stored anywhere on the computer besides AIM's servers. (I remember when they weren't stored on AIM's servers, and when you reformatted, the buddy list was lost, LOL) I tried to search for the list but couldn't find anything. Maybe there is something somewhere else?

I know I did a back up, but not on this reformat. I might have one somewhere on a disk, so maybe I'll search for that one. I might have also sent my buddy list to another of my screen names too. (Hope so!)

Anyway.........any ideas of where I can search for a possible list storage on the computer? Would a res hacker help? It's not of utmost importance that I get my list back,........but I have a lot of names of someone I want blocked, and couldn't possibly remember them all to block them again. (long story........)
