I made the mistake of installing this on my system last night (I wanted the last release of 5.9 before the 6.X versions. Anyways it totally screwed up my wireless and my network in general! Wi-Fi would not connect, I couldn't launch the network & sharing selection in control panel and everything just basically came to a screaming hult! I ended up having to contact Dell and the first thing they asked me was "did you by any chance just install AIM on your machine?" I said yes, and they asked me what version, I told them 5.9.6089 and they said there was a serious security issue with the version that was screwing up people's computers and that AIM HAS been notified of it (maybe that's why classic AIM is no longer on their download page?) Anyways I downloaded it from the old version website.
Dell unded up having to have me reboot my computer in safe mode with command and run a bunch of commands to get the problem fixed. I reinstalled AIM (the version before this) and all seems to work well now. I just wanted to warn anyone out there who doesn't know, you will be sorry if you do!
