WHICH VERSION Is The Most Preferred?

Just wondering? I am fairly new to AIM, and lost all my data yesterday and have had to re-download AIM. Somehow I have lost the ability to get Buddy Alerts with sound now.
Anyway, please tell me your favorite version, and most reliable.

As to your sound issue - I have responded in your original post.

It is always a good policy to use the latest version of a program. In addition to new and expanded features, the latest version of messaging programs are designed address security vulnerabilities that may be present in older versions.

I've found the new AIM 7.0 to be pretty good. Better than the 5.x series, even

Music to my ears.

I concur, the latest version is always the best advice. AIM 7 also has many new features not available in the previous 6.x series including smaller/faster installer better performance, AIM Lifestream and more.

Enjoy.

Thanks! I guess I will uninstall my current version and move on up to the 7.0.
