InstantIdler with Pimpuigi's classic AIM (5.5.3599) on Windows 7 x64 --- Possible?

I've held onto PimpUigi's classic aim... maybe if someone needs it I can re-upload since megaupload is gone and I don't see it mirrored anywhere else (let me know)... It still connects, I'm even still able to use AimEncrypt, but InstantIdler won't work.

The InstantIdler I have is intended for Aim 5.5.3501 --- something tells me that it used to still work with slightly later versions anyway, but I'm also wondering if maybe it's because the program could only be used in XP. If nobody has any idea, I'll try Windows XP myself...

I've already tried compatibility mode with no success, and I also tried the idlemon.dll replacement which is supposed to make you appear idle permanently --- AIM won't start probably since the .dll is supposed to work with a different version of AIM. Finding these old files is nearly impossible. I've actually come across more up to date versions of InstantIdler but they are apparently infected It could be false positives... I might take a chance on a virtual machine but only if the InstantIdler that I currently have won't work w/ 5.5.3599 on XP.

edit: Tried installing it in XP and using my old InstantIdler, didn't work. Tried the sketchy copies of InstantIdler that I found - none worked. Tried the .dll replacement just for the off chance - didn't work. I would try using 5.5.3501, but there's two problems: I love PimpUigi's modified aim since it has the built in AIMutation so I wouldn't want to lose those features, and of course the fact that it's the only copy of classic aim (that I know of at least) which is still able to connect without being instantly dropped for not having an up-to-date version of aim -_- I don't really know how the whole connection patch was accomplished. I only grabbed the full "install", not just the connection patch alone. I see there is a backup folder so it's probably one of the files in there that was edited.

I'll mirror PimpUigi's aim w/ connection patch and leave it in his thread along with the pixelbuddy skin.
