Windaphoner, give Mr. Diablos a break. I think him putting up this topic is thoughtful and respectful in its self.
I didn't take what he said as offensive. You yourself realize he's 15 so you should know his vocabulary may not be as extensive as yours.

I usually would say something here about the 9/11 attack - but it could offend some... okay it would offend 90% of the members of these forums... US residents. meh. I'm be quiet.

Why are you making a big deal about him when you know what you would say is offensive to 90% of the people here?
Thank you Mr. Diablos for this topic. I don't think my town is doing anything...I live in Oregon, but it still affected me and I will always remember that day.

9/11 was memorable, although definately not a happy memory.

I have heard many people recall exactly where they were when President Kennedy was assassinated back in the early 60's. I was too young to remember that, but I think this will be a similar event.

I can remember exactly where I was when I found out about 9/11. I was in my home office, dialing in for a teleconference. I was the only caller online, when I got an instant message from one of my co-workers saying that a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center. I quickly turned on the TV and saw the events unfold. It was chilling.

I hope that we all remember that day, and use it to reflect on our lives here on this Big Blue Ball we call earth, and what we are doing personally to make it a better place.

Jeff Hester aka "Mister BigBlueBall.com"

I agree with you Jeff...it will always be a memorable day for all time...and never a happy one. I remember exactly where I was also...My daughter was getting ready for school and we overheard her radio...we quickly turned on the TV and stood there in disbelief.
As we watched we even saw the second tower go down...Our hearts sank and tears rolled down my face.

They say something good always comes from something bad...well...if in fact that is true, and I do believe it is to some degree...It has pulled this Nation Under God together, as one. Exspecailly when you try to buy a large U.S.A. flag to hang at your doorsteps months afterwards and they are still all sold out...When we finally were able to buy one it has never come down...and never will...

Before I continue forth, I'll tel you all: I'm 14.[u][/b]

Thanks for the support, TL.

I remember where I was too. Social Studies Class, 1st day 'o' school. When I first heard it, I didn't undertand, thought it was a hoax. Then when I came home, there it was. The tape of the planes connecting with the towers. There were so many thoughts rushing through my head, I thought I was gonna fall over.

This thread was a good idea, and I'll make it that way.

Seems my mouth got the best of me like usual . I'm not trying to push anyone down here if you guys see it that way - Sorry. It's just how I am... I criticize too much and I know I should change. I have a naive determination to be happy.

Heck. Let's drop the age issue - it's too irrelavant. I'm no older than Mr. Diablos over there. I just turned 15 three days ago.

What I would say is a generalized opinion of the US as a whole which I could say in a way - strung on the 9/11 attack. Not a specific point at 9/11. And I'm not ashamed of the fact that it will offend many.

Since we're on the topic of telling everyone where we were at those moments...
I was in second period at school; english I believe. My teacher told us "planes crashed into buildings in New York". And that was that - she didnt say anything else.

I'll shut my mouth. I dont seemed to be liked for any outgoing-ness I produce. I take a step back, look down and despise 9/11 in a different way than most of you do in your own ways. I'm an objectivist - what can I say?

I guess I will also share where I was at the moment where I found out about 9.11. It was also second period for me, I was in hospitality class, and when I was washing my hands, and came out of the kitchen, one cook told me brielfy that she was scared, and wanted to go home with her children, where it was safe. I had NO IDEA what she was talking about, and I asked her, and my jaw hit the ground. It was so unbelievable. Alot of teachers, and students wern't normal that day, and I dont blame them. It was scary, with me living right next door to New York, and not knowing if the CN Tower, or Canada's Wounderland, could have been next. I remember going to the library on my lunch, and watching the news on the many TV's that were posted around the library. I sat in disbelief as the second plane went through the buildings, and hearing students and teachers cry and scream. I know that I am not an American, but I felt proud to wear an American Flag pin on my shirt for two weeks after the event.

So was I, Chewy. So was I. It's to show they're not gonna rob us of what we hold dear. Our courage, our honor, our pride. We're gonna get back on that horse and keep riding back to the light.

I also remember where I was exactly when the events happend.... I was in my second period CCNA Computer Networking class.... The only girl in the class came into the room and told the class what happend... As soon as I heard it, I tried to get on a news site... I was amazed about how bogged the servers were since all I got was "page can not be displayed" on the screen... I felt some fear since Catapillar, (one of the main makers of US tanks) the world headquarters is in Peoria IL... I was thinking that they (whoever did this) were going to attack the plant..... And I also couldn't believe about how high gas was..... Everyone was on edge at school....
