The Dude is on a distinguished road (10)
Very Sad Night

i saw a deer that got hit by a car and shot (yesterday) made it to this 1 area and collopsed....he was still alive when I found him today!!!!!! I cried like crazy,i prayed for him.....someone saw me and I asked them to dial 911 and get the cops over there, they only shot the deer dead.........they didnt give a damn it seems.........at least I prayed for him,and @ least I found him and his life was ended, who knows how long he was laying there in pain (i am still crying and upset about it) there was blood about and it looked like his back leg was broken, how can the cops miss the shot was cause him to wander with all that pain????? (they hit him but didnt kill him) today when the cop got there,he didnt miss,he shot right to the heart I guess......after he left,he was still blinking and quivering for a few minutes....i was terrified........i said another prayer for him and kissed his front leg,and said goodbye and went to kfc, some lady saw me and said they saw me talking 2 the cop earlier, they gave me 5 dollars to buy something to eat,i told them they didnt need to I had 10.........but she insisted,so..........she said I was thru a tramatic event........i was also...................

some lady saw me by the deer and got out of her car and yelled "hey, what are you doing??????? ya better get away from that deer (like I supposed to be scared of him) I felt like yelling to her "a bunch of swears and how she didnt give a rats tail about this life ending,etc......i didnt say it though (hehehe) her husband was yelling for her to get back in the car and they left..............(i guess the deer was hit yesterday and the sheriff took a shot but didnt kill him,the deer got away, and landed at the spot I found him -- I think god wanted me to go up there 2night to wish him well before he passed,i truly believe that, cause every night be4 today,i have been going to exit 9,etc..... and not up to exit 12)

then @ mcdonalds I saw someone come in with no legs,he had a skateboard he was riding on........i felt so bad for him I couldnt almost contain myself.........i was gonna give him the 5$ that was given to me to buy something to eat @ mcdonalds........but he had already gotton his food...........

i have had a rough night........people just dont give a damn for lower life forms, they only think about human life, like we are better than any other of gods creatures (which we arent).........

this planet needs alot of re-configuring (so to speak)

sorry for all the caps,i emailed this to some friends and just copy/pasted it here (less the swearing )

I live in an area, which is populated by deer (white-tailed?) It makes me real nervous driving in the vicinity because one could run into the roadways and possibly get itself killed. I couldn't forget that foggy night I drove back home from Atlanta, a male deer had run into the 4-lane highway causing me to hit him. I wanted to stop to see if I could help him but I was afraid to, because of the big antlers

It's sad to see people without something that we have. But we mustn't feel sorry for them, many of them do adept to most of everyday functions just like any of us do. Look at me, I have a disability - deafness, but this doesn't stop me [and other people like myself] from doing many things what [normal] people do everyday.

I'm hoping that you're not trying to suggest that we stop eat meats. It does anger me when I see/hear about animals being abused in any way like the recent KFC incident.

Obviously its inhumane to wound an animal and let it wander off. If you shoot a deer, or any animal for sport, and wound it, it is your moral responisibity to track that animal down and put it out of its misery. Not only is that animal suffering, but if it comes across another human it could be twice as dangerous. In Brian's case, not being a hunter but an accidental collision, you should not approach a wounded animal as they are quite dangerous and unpredictable. It's best to let the proper authorities deal with the injured animal appropriately.

You shouldn't give strangers money just because you see they are disabled. It's disrespectful and can be extremely offensive to the recipient. Unless they are asking for handouts, let them be. Most just want to be treated the same as everyone else.

Did you ever think that perhaps the woman who was yelling at you from the car was doing so because deer can carry many interesting things on them, like ticks or worms or who knows what else, that and perhaps she thought you were going to do something to it and she was trying to give it a bit of respect as well? You can't automatically assume that someone trying to scare you off is doing it to be mean. heck, if I saw some kid crouched next to a dead deer I'd probably be concerned for the animal too. There are a lot of sick people around that may do weird things to dead animals. That and after they're dead they're officially property and disposal of the state and technically shouldn't be messed with.

As far as the cops shooting the deer, do you really think that the animal would have survived like that? If it was down and crippled to the point where it couldn't run? If it couldn't run, it probably had some internal bleeding, tore lots of muscle and/or had broken bones, and seeing that no every city has an animal intensive care unit so they probably couldn't have saved it anyway. If anything, they did it a favor. Hell, if I was messed up like that, I'd rather a bullet than to sit and suffer in complete agony for hours if not days later.

Now not to say that I'd rather to die than be handicapped, that's different. Those people can function well in society and many are very well adjusted people. But to be in such complete pain and just to prolong life at the expense of misery and suffering....just seems silly to me.

That and animals can't understand people's way of healing them. Like if you find a dog with a broken leg, you can't sit and explain to it that you have to set it (which will hurt a LOT) in order for it to heal properly, they just think you're hurting it more and therefore it will lash out. Animals have a natural instinct called flight or fight, when in a situation they'll run until they can't anymore and then they'll fight whoever comes near them, even if you're there to help. Not to say you should kill all the little stray cats or birds with broken wings because they're going to claw and bite, but simply saying that if a deer is mortally wounded, it's not going to understand that if you take it to some scary place and make it hurt more and more, that you're trying to help it. it's just going to go into shock, or try and fight its way out.

I don't know, just trying to shed some light here...your little deal seems very very one sided and closed minded, perhaps try and see things from a different point of view. That perhaps there is a reason that people do certain things, and not just because they disrespect nature or the "lesser" life forms. Heck, I'm a pagan, which translates into Dirt loving, tree huging, nature freak, so I respect and care for the things around us to a near obsessive and frightening point, but that doesn't mean I can't see the reasoning behind the rhyme.

No, I probably can't help you.
But I might be able to make you laugh and forget that you just nuked 16 hours of photoshop work.
