Osama Captured?

My History teacher has a conspiricy theory that the Amercians have already caught Osama but arnt going to tell anyone yet so that they can continue to build weapons, spend billions on defence etc

His strongest point is the fact that Osamas video was released like 3 days before the elction and Bush could easily work with iut to help his campaign.

I don't personally believe it but it reallys isnt any stupider than the "We never landed on the moon" theory.

I've said that for a while now. BUT, I do now believe it as much any more, because I thought that they would unveil his caputure a day or two before the election (claiming it just now happened).

But then they would lose their excuse to continue producing massive amounts of weapons.

What would be the point of producing massive amounts of weapons? To fight who?

As I've stated in a PAST post on another thread....the US knows exactly where he is and have been monitoring him for some time now. Colin Powell stated this quite a few weeks ago now. I think with all of the negative things going on with the Iraq war, the war on terror, etc..IF the US had him (which they don't) they'd actually say "HEY! LOOK!! WE'RE MAKING PROGRESS!!" It's all well and good that some might think the US actually ENJOYS fighting and killing other people...but, this might come as a surprise WE DON'T!

Agreed Oreo. When Osama is captured, we will be told. If he was captured, it would of course be a sign of progress, and the Americans would use the capture to show that the 'War On Terror' is succeeding. His capture would be a big breakthrough.

China!? Now now...I doubt that will be the case. We are more likely to start with North Korea, but China? I really don't see that as...likely. I know the leadership in the US isn't the brightest, but they aren't stupid enough to try to fight China (as they are not stupid enough to fight the US either). Oh, and a weapons buildup involving Iraq...not likely either...we had our excuse to produce mass amount of nukular weapons: the cold war.

I doubt America would be dumb enough to go to war with China. Forget the economy, the sheer size of China makes it impossible to wage a war there and China has atleast 5 time the population of America, it can afford to lose people and I do not see China being overly concerned about losing people.

why would we want to use weapons on china? we trade with them, and I have to agree with kron, the size of china also.
