website image help

I have seen sites do this, but have wondered how they did it. Like www.imdb.com has done this.

When I right click on an image, and copy the image url and paste it in my browser, all I see is white space. I had to view the source and find the actual url. It was like when you right click on the picture, they had a different url...so maybe they think people cant steal their images or whatever. I even right clicked, and saved the image and when I viewed it on my desktop no image showed up

Anyway of doing this? Having an image on my site, and then if someone downloads it, itll download a blank image....anyone know the code for it?

Which images? I went to that site and right clicked, save image as... and it saved it to my pc with no problem. I did it with 3 or 4 different ones, but I also use firefox, maybe that has something to do with it?

When right clicking to save milla, the url shows:
http://i.imdb.com/mptv1.gif

thats not the actual url of the picture though.

ok....but do you know how they did that? to when i tried to save...cause thats a neat trick.

Bronxy, you can search the Internet for a Javascript snippet that will disallow right clicks on that page. Google it.
