Quote:
Insurgency exploded from the end of 1989 and the beginning of 1990. The Indian regime responded with an occupation force whose rule made the actions of the Israeli Defence Force in Palestine pale into insignificance. Between 30,000 and 80,000 people are estimated to have been killed. In 1990 Jagmohan gave Indian occupation forces the right to shoot on sight any demonstrator or 'insurgent'. Months-long curfews were put in place, particularly after more than a million people demonstrated against Indian rule in Srinagar in March 1990. Wave after wave of protest shook the province as a national uprising threatened Indian control

Moreover the killings and human rights violotions included are not of any baised source, they are from Human Rights Watch, United Nations Commison for Human Rights and other independent sources, as Pakistan's are not allowed to enter in the Occupied Valley by India even if they are journalists.

About majority muslim population, for your kind info, India has more muslims in India than in whole Pakistan. Where was Pakistan 60 years ago? Jesus. Get your facts straight and them learn to argue.
Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, you people call it India as a whole but here we use a differnet term; Sub-continenet. Today the majority of areas which Pakistan has dosen't belong to India, NWFP, Sindh and Balouchistan was ruled by Afghan government so the culture and society here is too much different that of India's. Only the one Pakistani province Punjab was the part of India. Only britsh rule make sub-continent united.
If USSR occupied almost all of the central Asia and Afghanistan they didn't become Russia they have their own identity correct it. So, Pakistan was never ever a part of India.

*pops in for a minute* Alright you fellows, firstly, let's take a breath here and remember that while it's great to have opinions on people's lifestyles and countries and such...that being said, that you are commenting on a person's country and they way things are done and some topics are sensitive to others.

So please...let's keep this down to a dull roar. I know it can be hard to tone yourself down when talking about something you're passionate about, but there are two sides to every story, two aspects, if not more to everything...so please try to keep things pleasant. I've recieved a couple complaints and a few little notes from folks that are obviously upset by the topic or upset at the way that it's being presented.

I certainly don't want to butt in on your discussion, but try and keep it genial, fellows. There's no need to get so fired up about things, it's just a discussion, you're going to get alternative ideas contrary to your own, and remember...sometimes all you can do is agree to disagree. Don't let pride get in the way, heh, believe me, it's never pretty.

Moderators can feel free to close the topic. I presented the facts as I got them from valuable sources and CIA agents, not from some phoney websites or clips, like someone else here did. You can close the topic if you want. No use of arguing with some with corrupted facts.

I dont step aside. I step UP!

Please remember that ALL types of media tends to be biased, no matter where the location be. I'm sure Eastern media is guilty of bias also.
