Data Transfer Rate Contest!

Transfer from one of my 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11, formatted as NTFS, to another formatted as ext3, seems to max out at around 63MB/s. I saw 66 during this transfer, but I only screenshotted 63.0, so that will be my official entry.

These are definitely the fastest transfer rates I have ever seen, and I challenge any member of BBB to post a faster transfer rate from one spinning hard drive to another I'll make separate categories for RAID setups and for any devices (including solid state drives).

When claiming a title, post some details about the drives and the transfer. Screenshots are required, and although there is really no way to enforce this, no doctoring of screenshots is allowed. Good luck and let's see some sick RAID and flash drive rates!

Current Transfer Rate Records:
  1. VvWolverinevV - Spinning Drive to Spinning Drive (63.0 MB/s)
  2. Between RAID Drives - Unclaimed
  3. VvWolverinevV - Between Any Two Drives (63.0 MB/s)

I'm still winning the contest that I created and no one else cares about. Sweet!

Nice, Tigerblade! What kind of transfer was that?

It was a... um.... Photoshop transfer. Yeah. That's it. I was transferring Photoshop. On a quantum connection.

It's certainly remarkable how we both have the exact same transfer dialog window. Even more of a coincidence how the numbers seem so similar!

Haha, I wanted to believe someone else wanted to compete. Nice job, though. Except for the space between "930" and "MB", it's flawless

The way I did it was by moving a large amount of data between disks and then taking a screenshot of the transfer details, showing the transfer rate.
