I logged on with my account, I think. When I clicked the Connect with Facebook button, it saw that I was already signed into FB, then asked me whether I wanted to create a nickname for the forums, or use an existing forum account. I clicked existing, then it asked me for my forum login info. I entered that, and now here I am. How do I know if it's "working?" Is there supposed to be any difference?

If it's working properly, you should see new activity on any thread you start or reply to. It will show up in your Facebook notifications.

Just for grins, I created an album here with a couple screenshots. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

The Forum FB login is not yet working correctly. There were some tweaks to it, but the results are still the same. It does not seem to finish the association to an existing BBB account. (I've tried it several times in the last couple days but no joy yet.)

It is being looked into and hopefully will be working soon.

Ah, thanks patndoris. That explains why I'm not getting any notifications like that. So right now, my accounts are not yet hooked together. I'm just signed in here like I always have done, right?

Yup! You are correct in the forums - you are just logged in like usual.

The Home page Facebook login does work with your Facebook account, but it is not associated with the forum login, and it will not tie the two together.

More bugs, sorta.

I checked out the "Connect with Facebook" on the homepage and it's working great. I've attached a copy of the login that I got.

I also left a comment on the front page story about the new design, and got asked if I wanted to publish my comment to Facebook. A nice touch. I attached a screenshot of that.

I also attached a screenshot of the login screen I get when I use Connect with Facebook on the forums. You can compare that with the one for the homepage. They are almost the same, but he forum one is missing the "Connect" and "Cancel" buttons.

I figure this is probably all related to the problems you're already aware of connecting via FB in the forums, but just in case, I thought I would report them. Maybe it will help?

I noticed the facebook button disappeared for a few days and then came back tonight. I tried it out, and the problem yahooligan saw with the connect/cancel buttons hidden seems to be gone!

Hurray!!!
