But, the downside is that the users will need the add-on files that Visual Basic created programs use.
That's exactly why I asked what files are missing! How could anyone possibly specifically say what needs to be done to prevent certain error messages if they don't have any idea what the actual error messages are?

When you make a post requesting help, it's general practice to include as much information as possible in the post. Be it error messages, Windows version or hardware statistics, or ANYTHING that could help giving you a concrete answer. Watching us guess what the problem could be is not going to do you any good.

Again DJ maybe you missed this but shifter answered the majority of my questions. I was basically wondering if it was JUst my computer because its older which shifter answered and so did Elite. The Help I wanted I listed in my three questions which again shifter answered. I never asked how to prevent them I only asked what might have CAUSED them.

And for the record, I've deleted the programs, but was curious as to why they didn't work. Yes, Shifter they were zip files.

Most of the error messages said something like this Component ' msinet.ocx' or the other one ' mswinsck.ocx' Or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered . A file is Missing or Invalid.

Both of my computers came with XP pre-installed and one of them was bought within the last year so I didn't think it'd be missing anything . Apparently I was wrong.

Most of the programs say download this file and replace it , My other question is if We already have the file why would it need replacing ( unless its corrupted ) but if it was wouldn't we get that error on other things( meaning other then the yahoo add-ons I think you guys call them ) we tried to download?
