Clean up Hard Drive

This is probably a simple question, but is there any way that I could clean up my entire harddrive without reinstalling Windows XP? I'm trying to just make a computer the way it was when it was first bought.
Thanks.

so basically you want to just wipe your drive clean and start over fresh? well... the best way to start over from scratch is simply to format the drive and reinstall XP. that's what I had to do a little while ago to get rid of a corrupted explorer.exe.....

just out of curiosity, why?

As I was going down the stair, I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today; I wish I wish he'd go away.

Well, I don't have the recover disc for XP, so I don't think I can reinstall.

I just have a whole lot of trash on that one computer, no files that I really need, so I just want to start over.

Is that relevant? It's homemade, running on Windows XP [home].

Homemade.... Hm... You don't have the windows Xp recover cd... well if you want you can try buying the cd off ebay.... I have no other solution.. I am not a pro at this stuff... I have an HP so I just call HP for a free one, haha... Anyways good luck trying to start over with that thing... Best way is Ebay but shipping will take a while unless you can wait...

Borrow a copy from a friend or something. Just make sure to use RockXP to retrieve your cd key before hand. You'll need a cd that matches to the cd key you have. If its oem, you need an oem disc. Retail, you'll need a retail disc. And obviously home and pro keys aren't interchangable.
