Help with missing dll

good day all:
I just tried to open Outlook Express and all I got was a notice stating that I was missing MSOE.DLL
So.... Just what is missing and how do I get it back
I am not quite a newbie at computing but not an expert either
thanks

The DLL can be found here. Extract it, and place it in "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\". If you're confused or need help, just ask. Hope this helped.

hello: I got the dll file but now I'm not sure if I "installed" it right. Do I just copy it to outlook express in program files? Cause that's just what I did and I still get the error stating missing msoe dll
any help is greatly appreciated

You probably need to register the DLL.

This may sound dumb but what the heck.......... unzipped the msoe.dll file
Now do I go>run then type regsvr32 "c;\windows\system\msoe.dll"
Will that work ?

Let me explain a bit.

Unzip the file to this folder: C:\Windows\System32\

go to Start > Run > Type this in: "regsvr32 msoe.dll"

If that doesn't work, try "regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\msoe.dll"

Copy msoe.dll to c:\Program Files\Outlook Express\, then execute regsvr32 "c:\program files\outlook express\msoe.dll" at start>run.

Otherwise check out this: Repair IE and OE

First off: thanks for the help, but I think I may have more of a problem than I first thought. I cannot find ( in my program files) the folder of microsoft internet explorer. poof it's gone. don't know where to but bye bye.
Now, should I take the !!!*** thing in for a repair or... can I repair this myself? I am not that techie inclined I should point out
sugeestions will be greatly appreciated.
