Using My Laptop Outside

Hello everyone,
I have a widescreen laptop and wish to use my laptop outdoors. It is summer and is very nice outside. Only problem is when I bring my laptop outside, my screen is very very dark.

What would you recommend. Do Privacy Filters work? I know they are anti-glare but do that help outdoors so I can see my screen? I've been googling and noone seems to have an answer.

Here are products I found. Would they work?

I know the feeling Seb, my screen is also glossy so I have no chance, all is see is a reflection of me! lol The only thing I can do is sit in the shade, which is pointless as the reason for being outside is to get some rays!

I tried using the garden table umbrella and placing my laptop under the shade, which was still rubbish, hope someone can help us with this. My next port of call is investing in an anti-glare screen, but thanks for bring up the subject Seb.

Fingers crossed someone has worked this one out

A privacy filter won't do anything, that'll more likely make it worse.

The problem is that the screens used today don't reflect the light, they only provide backlighting via an internal light source. I thought I had read something about progress in this, but perhaps there is still a problem with a reflective surface behind the LCD.

What about a product like this?
3M EF200XLB Black Anti GlareRadiation Filter for 16"-19" CRTs and 17"-18" LCDs in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

If it exists for laptops?

I also notice there are some anti-glare filters (but also with that privacy protection). Not all of them have anti-glare (it seems).

Would an anti-glare filter be what I am looking for?
