recover data

hello everyone i don't know where to start.actually i have a western digital hard disk attached with usb while copying some data my computer hanged so i just pull out the usb cable and restart the computer.when again attaching the hard disk it shows no memory from this i got to know that its file system structure has been destroyed so i format it with partition magic and at the end it gives me an I/O error. Then i start the program getdataback to recover the data while scaning the drive it show that there is bad sector in it. i just continue it but the program does not respond so i have to close it.so now the problem is that what to do? repair the bad sectors of the drive first or recover the data.if i repair the drive first can i able to recover the data back.

please help me out..............

i'd recommend using CONVAR & PCinspector Data Recovery Datenrettung recupero dati datarecovery récupération données from another harddrive. That is if XP (your os) can see the drive once its connected. If XP cannot see the drive i don't know what to tell you.

Now, you should use a third-party data recovery tool like Kernel for Windows to get all of your data back.
