(anything) to iPod media converter

Yeah, I'll probably be shot for this... but can anyone recommend a FREE whatever to iPod converter (specificlly for movies). I've downloaded Videora but it always ends in an error, about not locating the original file.

Preferably an app that doesn't include a free 30 day trial, or doesn't offer you a referral to spam, plz

I am not familiar with the movie formats since I don't download them. But take a look at this and see if the formats you need are supported for encoding and decoding. (Beta HD version is here.)

I've used this for audio, and I know some video is supported but I don't know if it will do what you want or not. Best of luck!

Yes, I can tell you what I use: Handbrake. There are versions for Mac and PC, it's free, and it will rip and compress DVDs into a number of formats (including iPhone/iPod Touch, Sony PSP, etc.).

Works great!

iTunes itself can convert some video formats to the format iPods use.
