    The New Facebook Home Page

I don't like it - no I don't. Last week the new Home page for Facebook users rolled out. I have seen very few positive comments about it from my contacts. I want my normal old status box back....

Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I'm not even sure what the old version looked like anymore. Anyone got some before and after screenshots to post?

    Anyhow, change is always painful.

I don't like it because **** is updated in real time -- so when people upload pictures, it shows EACH damn picture that is uploaded individually instead of just three side by side. It also shows me what people write I write on someone else's wall and viseversa. I sure as hell don't care what other people are writing, why would people care what I do?

Ditto what my friend det said... real time on fb is just plain annoying! Can't imagine what folks with more than a few dozen friends have to deal with... of course maybe there are filters for that, dunno, cba to mess with it right now. *poke*

I like it, and it's easy to turn off updates from a friend that's "noisy."

I think what this shows is that Facebook users don't like change.

Heather, what I did with a friend who was too over-active was to click on the Close button in any of her posts. Log out of FB and then log back in. You won't see that person's streams anymore.

If you want to see their streams again, scroll to the bottom of your home page and click on See Hidden Friends. A window pops up. Select the person you want and click Add to News Feed. Click Close.

Ty Philip for that info... I knew there was a way to declutter the streams, but if I have to do one more set of specifications for a site, I'm gonna scream! Seems like everywhere we go there are so many options to customize things... which is nice, but geezo... wish I didn't have to set 'em up. Give me lean and sleek, with just the basics. *super poke*

The before screenshot isn't mine, I found it on a Flickr profile.
