    Unfriend someone without actually deleting them in Facebook?

    Is there a way that I could unfriend someone without actually deleting them in Facebook? I really need help for this.

    Of course there are ways to do that. Some of them are listed below:

    1. Hide your status message so that they don’t comment on it or like it.
    2. Appear offline on chat so that the unwanted person cannot see when you are online
    3. Avoid their updates merely by hiding your unwanted friend from your feed if their updates are irritating or boring

    you can also perform this choice and that is to unfriend some people without removing them. I did this because I don't want any news about them and on the same time I don't want them to know that I deleted them. so this is the only option I know.. I found this site that has the step on how to do it.

    You can block that person but the loss is that when you will unblock him he will be not your friend. You can make your posts and picture hide from that person. And will not be able to get any update from you. Keep him in an individual list in chat and make it offline list.
