Prince Charles to marry again...good or bad?

Well, we've all heard it...the Prince is going to marry the old bag. Yes...you know my feelings about this. I was VERY VERY VERY young...but I remember when Prince Charles married Diana. As I grew up, I always thought she was so wonderful...yes I'm a Yank...but still loved to watch Diana. I was devastated the day I heard she had been killed. It happened to be a night I could not sleep...so I was watch TV and completely stunned. It was hours before I could share my sadness with the rest of my family.
It is a bit silly I guess...but I REALLY don't like Camila. She just seems like she's horning in on the whole royal thing. She always bothered me, maybe because she could not hold a candle to Diana's beauty and grace.
What are your feelings though? Do you care? Do you like Camila? Have you heard that if they marry Charles may not be able to take the throne?

*Closes Eyes* Why is it so bright so early?

Even though i live "under the throne" per say, I couldn't care less. I'm happy for them if they love each other. That's all. It's nobodys business otheriwse, I think its a-ok to remarry if your first partner dies. It's not like he broke up with diana for camilla.

As far as i know, Charles will be able to take the throne but Camilla will not be called Queen. The problem is that when Charles becomes king, he becomes head of the Church of England and Camilla is divorced, which complicates things. I think they are trying to work something out.
Why is it that when adults have multiple personalities it's schizophrenia, but when a child has imaginary friends it's cute?

I believe they are getting just a blessing in the church. I personally don't really care about Charles or Camilla myself. I doubt many English do. If you see the papers here I think most people are not happy he is to marry her. The way he treated Diana was terrible, and its still on our minds, but then he is the one that has to sleep at night. I did not go to Diana's funeral as I was late into my preganancy with youngest son. But a year to the day of her death my eldest son and I went to Kensington Palace to pay our respects. I am sure if she were here today she would have moved on in her life, so I suppose that is what he is doing but I don't think on their wedding day there will be many flying our flag!

He pretty much did. He and Camila were having an affair even though both of them were married to other people. (And Sharpshooter Charles and Diana were eventually divorced I believe.) Then when Diana was killed...they waited for a bit and then took up together again. That's why it gets me so angry. That and the fact that Diana did so much for so many and had so much grace.

Sarah, I completely agree with what you said in that "he is the one who has to sleep at night." It just gets my ire up that he gives her the Queen Mum's ring and there is some loop hole that when people start warming up to her, she can be called Queen. Well, I am not living there...but I think growing up seeing all that Diana did and had to live through...this somehow does not seem right. But I'm just one voice that does not matter a whole lot in the scheme of things...and what do a king and queen mean in today's world?

Well Oreo, I am not a royalist by any means, but they do mean a great deal in this country. For one thing, Tourists! The money they bring to this country for one thing. If you ever go to London its full of people outside Buckingham Palace etc. So at the end of they day they bring in the pennies.
